first_castle

The first castle of the game. You enter at the west side and mainly proceed eastward. When you've gone through much of this castle, you'll notice that there are still some unexplored areas, and there will be a warp to the Opulent Castle in the triangle building.

Areas

  • Main Corridor: Entrance Corridor, the first area of the game. music: “Dracula's Castle” from SotN. boss: Warg
  • southwest buildings (odds)
  • Courtyard: Mad Forest, the second area of the game, where you get your first subweapon, the Throwing-Dagger. music: “Mad Forest” from Cv3.
  • southeast buildings
    • secret area (ninja courtyard): Forbidden Area, which is teased but blocked off with a wall (only accessible after visiting the Last Castle). music: “Nightmare” from CotM.
  • northwest buildings: Castle Aviary, which can be accessed from the Entrance Corridor but is mostly inaccessible at fist (you can see a high platform but can only go down to a dead end). Music: “Jaws of a Scorched Earth” from OoE.
  • northern buildings (30s)
  • center building/annex (13)
  • (wind tunnel?)
  • industrial building
  • Villa (12/24): Abandoned Village, a series of smaller buildings in a courtyard. music: “Annex - Silent Madness”, or “Castle Wall - Watchtower”, or “The Outer Wall - Unseen Entry” from Cv64.
  • second hallway
  • Library: [area currently unnamed], music: “Study” from AoS.
  • Laboratory

  • Arena: Trophy Hall, music: “Chapel” from AoS.

  • Sky Walkway
  • Power Plant: Temple of Doom, an area with Mesoamerican architecture, inspired by Indiana Jones adventures. music: “Toothed Wheel” from Cv64.
